Volunteer your hands or your head

Nobody is coming to fix this. It is us or it is nobody. You can step in when you can and step back when life changes.

We need mechanics, electricians, welders, engineers, scientists and botanists: people who can help design the microplastic filters, build the river-cleaning machines, plant and care for trees, and one day sit beside an orphan or an elder. An hour a month or a year of your life.

Tell us who you are and how you would like to help

The sign-up asks for:

• your name, email and where you live, and a phone number if you want to give one
• your profession or skills, and which pillar or invention you would like to work on
• how you would like to contribute, and how many hours you can give each week or month
• a link to your résumé if you have one online (if not, we will email you to ask for it)
• whether you are volunteering only, or would also like to be considered for a paid role when we can afford one. We have no paid roles today, and we will not pretend we do.
